New Beginnings!

The last while has been a whirlwind of emotions and general confusion.  So many things going on, I can barely figure out which way is up.  Thankfully all my real life commitments are met and I can concentrate on Second Life for awhile.  It will be nice to relax and enjoy some time with my family and friends!  I have missed them all.  I'm also hoping to get some projects done that have been put on the back burner because of time restraints.

The Cozy Avery
I'm happy to announce that I'm about to release a new house.  It's been done for several weeks now, I just hadn't had time to release it.  I will be working on getting that done over the next couple of days.

This home is a two bedroom, one bathroom, the perfect size for Maddy and I.  A large spacious kitchen, dining room area, living room and a special loft.

Happy Birthday Second Life!

Well it's finally here!  Sorry I didn't post this earlier, but real life has been a little crazy.  The Second Life Birthday sims are finally open.  http://slurl.com/secondlife/SL8B%20Stupendous/120/2/23

I took some more pictures to post.  I have put out a free gift for everyone to get when you visit the sims.  I won't tell you exactly where the free gift is, this way you have to explore.  I have been hanging out at the sims when time allows.  There have been some awesome artists and DJs visiting, so I hope you will stop by and say hello.  Maybe if you see me, I will give you a hint as to where the free gift is.  I will tell you this, find the main stage and look around. :oP~

Yesterday I was interviewed by Designing Worlds about the Second Life Birthday sims.  What an exciting week this will be.

Here are some more pictures:

I hope you will all stop by and say hello!

Sisters!

Tonight I've been thinking a lot about relationships in Second Life and how important and amazing they can be.  There are people in my Second Life that I spend more time with then some in my real life.  I call these women my sisters, because without them I would be lost.  They are a big part of the reason I log on everyday.

Robin, Paige, Eva
So these are my sisters, Robin on my left and Eva on my right.  We have been together for over three years now and we are going strong.  These two women are my strength, my sanity, my happiness, they hold me while I cry, they encourage me when I'm down and always make me smile.

Long standing relationships in Second Life are rare and should be cherished.  To me, loyalty is one of the most important aspects of any relationship here and although we have our moments of total insanity where our relationships are tested, we always come through the other side stronger.  Our extensive kinship shines through and proves our true commitment.

To many more years together ~ I love you both with all my heart!

Wow ~ What a week!

Well real life has been knocking on my door and keeping me very busy.  So I haven't had much time on Second Life, the craziness ends in a two weeks ~ YAY ~ I can't wait!

I did however start a new home, well actually I did two, but I hated the first one and decided to try again.  The second one is a definite keeper.  It's a two bedroom beach house with a loft, it will be called The Cozy Avery after my new little friend who won me in a recent auction.  She has been hanging out and giving me lots of feedback.

The Second Life Birthday Celebration is coming up fast, I'm so excited to see what everyone thinks of the sims *crosses her fingers and toes*.

So two more weeks of madness and I can sit back and relax and enjoy my summer.

Manic Monday!

What a busy day I have had.  Although not in Second Life.  Had the most amazing time with the kids today in real life.  Reminding me that there is life beyond the computer screen.  The pool was warm and inviting, so I spent the day laying in the sun and swimming.  We had a wonderful dinner in the gazebo and then swam a little more before dark.  Summer is officially here!  A good time for a much needed break from my virtual world.  Nice to come here in the evenings, spend time with family and friends, deal with customers.

I worked on the cuddle beds today, so hopefully finish those up tomorrow.  I have a few ideas in mind for the new house, or it could be I got too much sun ~ hmmmmm!  Well tomorrow is another day, lots of time to dream.

Sweet Sunday!

So here we are June 5th, deadline for the birthday sim and the sims are done and looking rather amazing!  Tomorrow I will start a new house.  I'm going to have the help of my new friend Avery, she won me at the auction I mentioned earlier this week.  The house will be named after her and she will get a copy of the house.  It will fun having someone to help inspire me.

It's been a crazy week, I'm glad it's over.  Now on to more fun and creative things.  Summer is an amazing time, open all the windows, go outside and soak up some much needed vitamin D.  I will be sure to bring those ideas into the new house.  Curtains flowing in the wind softly, warm romantic colours, soothing to the mind and soul.  The possibilities are endless, I can't wait!

I hope everyone is enjoying a nice quiet Sunday.

Builders' Block? What is up with that?

Yay for Fridays!  Been a long strange day, so glad it's over.  I'm having a horrible time trying to decorate the saloon on the birthday sim.  The final little touches are always the hardest.  One more day and the sim will be done except for fine tuning for lag.  Everyone has worked so hard on it, Tali, Kitty, Nerd and of course I did a little.  The other exhibitors have been set loose on the sims now, so it's nice to get an occasional visitor.  Tomorrow should be the last of the majority of work.

Once I'm finished with this project, I will complete the animations on the parent and child cuddle bed and a couple of other small things I have going on.  Then I get to build a new house ~ yay!  I have so been itching to build a new house.  This could be why finishing up at the birthday sim is so frustrating for me.  I'm so excited about making a new home!  I need a change of scenery and a fresh start.  I have the house I want to build in mind.  Lots of windows, sloped ceilings, maybe a second floor loft for Mommy's bedroom or media room.  Not too small, not too big, filled with lots of love.  Change is good.  Happy Saturday all!

Oh little update ~ someone put a huge smile on my face, completely turning my day around.  Not to mention he parked something in Maddy's room.  She will have to go check!  Mommy smiles sweetly.

Where do my days go?

Wow it's Thursday again already?  The days are flying by.  There has been so much to do, but it's all almost done.  I did manage to get my new Cozy Sling Chairs released.  Go Paigeypoo go!  I still have to finish up the animations in the parent/child cuddle beds and add a texture changing menu for the new Cozy Hot Tub.

I had so much fun today, I was auctioned off at Live, Laugh, Love ~ Family Fair.  I was afraid no one would bid, so I dragged Tali along with me in case of emergency.  Bidding started as soon my name was mentioned, (wipes her brow) and I went for a whopping $15000L.  The process all benefits going to a very special charity that helps children who have been removed from a dangerous household.  They provide children with an amazing bag full of things to bring them comfort, something every child needs when the rest of the world feelings like it's falling apart ~ http://www.Mystuffbags.org.  I believe that the Live, Laugh, Love Family Fair has brought in approximately $400k.  Congratulations to all the coordinators of this amazing event.
Quiet time with Maddy

Tonight I enjoyed some quiet times with Maddy, well of course that was after the swearing stopped cause she kicked Mommy's butt twice.  She is truly gifted with it comes to putting Mommy in her place.

Tomorrow back to the birthday sim to finish up!  I will take more pictures once it's done.  Yay! It's Friday!

What is today? *Giggles*

New Cozy Sling Chairs
Today has been quite productive, I completely a couple of new items.  I will be releasing one set tomorrow.  It's a slingback chair with cooler and accessories.  The cooler sits between the chairs and gives out all kinds of goodies from the menu.  There are a total of 18 animations in them, 8 for adult, 10 for children.  The adult animations are in the main chair, the child animations are in the small cushion.  There are several animations that can be used together for a parent and child.

If you touch the seat of the chair you can choose from 14 different wood texture and 6 different fabrics, the menus can be set to anyone, group or owner.  As always hold your cursor over either the chair for an adult or the small pillow for children, right click and sit.  Lots of different animations, so everyone can relax outside and enjoy the weather.  I will be boxing up this set for a special discount for the first 3 days it's on sale.  You will get two chairs, the cooler and food, for the price of just one chair and accessories.  Will save you $400L!

Cozy Cooler
I'm also making Muskoka chairs and hot tub to match these colours, the other set it more pastels.  I'm also happy to tell you that I've been working on a cuddle bed for parents and children.  There will be Mommy and Daddy cuddles in it also, but no intimacy.  Many people have been requesting this bed and is just about complete, just adding some sleeps and adjust the animations.  It will have a moving blanket and a cover for when you are sleeping.  It's been quite the challenge to get all the avatars on the bed and in the right positions for talking, hanging out, cuddling, tell a story, so many I just can't mention them all.  I do promise it will be fun!

New Cozy Hot Tub

I've attached some pictures below of the new chairs.  Pictures and information about the parent/child cuddle beds to be released soon.

Three days till the birthday sims is done, so I will update with some new pictures from there soon too.  Happy Thursday all!

This is Maddy!

Mommy & Maddy
So I thought I'd introduce some of my family. I thought I would start at the newest member. This is my daughter Maddy. She came into my Second Life during a rather rocky stage. I was so worried all the waves would make her run away screaming. Instead it's made it possible for us to talk about just about anything, it definitely made our relationship stronger. She fills my day with laughter and lots of curse words, usually because she is kicking Mommy's butt at Greedy or whatever else she has in her inventory.

Maddy loves to help Mommy with things, like make me dinner.  I just have to convince her that the meal isn't actually over until the kitchen is clean.  Instead she debates and offers a game of Greedy, loser cleans the kitchen.  Hmmmm, wonders why her kitchen still looks like this, cause Mommy won that night babygirl ~ remember :oP.
Mommy loves spaghetti!

I think she also inspires to be a designer when she grows up.  She loves to help me and give me ideas for improving my homes.  With all different kinds of ideas, like for Easter she redecorated the entire exterior of our home.  It look like the Easter Bunny had definitely stopped by.  Not to mention the awesome music selection she picked, I don't think I will ever get that song out of my head.

Having children in Second Life is a joy, each day a new adventure and never-ending source of laughter.  I hope Maddy will grace me with her love for many years to come.  She has shown me so much love and joy, even through many tears.  Maddy is one of the wonderful reasons I log on every day.  I love you babygirl!
